Senator Yerima divorces teenage Egyptian wife, picks new 15-year-old bride

Former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Ahmed Sani Yerima, has allegedly divorced his teenage Egyptian wife, Maria, and picking up another underage girl as a wife.
Ahmed-Yerima
He reportedly divorced Maria and sent her packing with her child, to pave way for another young bride, since Islam permits just 4 wives, City People had reported.

Recall that Yerima wedded Maria, an Egyptian, amidst wide protest 3 years ago when she was barely 14.

City People further reports that some members of the Zamfara State House of Assembly were in Egypt a few weeks ago to attend the wedding fathia of Yerima and his new 15 year-old-bride.

This religion seems to be benefiting its men followers. Why will they not
want to kill and destroy just to keep the faith. After 3 years he will be coming to divorce this virgin girl again and remarry another virgin. An average northerner. Hmmmm

I pity the Egyptian girl. What becomes of her life from now on after he has used and wasted her? There is a more sinister and morally deviant issue at play here, which has manifested in the senator’s behaviour. Going for a yet another under-aged 15 year old girl to marry; does this not portray him as a serial paedophile? How can a person with such repugnance still be allowed to show his face and still remain in the senate of all places? More importantly, if we still have people with these backward views propagating these 7th century ideals with ignorance and gusto, what is the future for the nation?
