How the MCs almost created a scene at Richard Mofe Damijo’s son’s traditional engagement (PHOTOS)

The engagement ceremony of Richard Mofe Damijo’s son Oghenekome and his hearthrob Eniola took place yesterday at the Grandeur Event Centre Ikeja.

The event was a success but for the two Alaga Ijokos (MC/Narrators) – one from the bride’s side and another from the groom’s side - who almost caused a scene at the event.

Celebrity blogger Helen Ozor says “Having two Alaga Ijokos at the wedding was a huge mistake because along the line they had issues, they both argued at some point.

The Alagas kept asking for money to the extent that some of the guests from the brides family had to start murmuring. I also did murmur because I felt it was totally outrageous.

I also recall that at a point one of Alagas asked for money and Jumobi Mofe Damijo said “We don’t have,” it was pretty frustrating.”
