Bongos Ikwue’s daughter, Jessica debuts with ‘You left me’

Like father, like daughter so is jessica’s effort towards craving a unique place for herself in the Nigerian music scene. The pretty and talented daughter of Groovies music exponent and Cock Crow at Dawn crooner, Bongos Ikwue is fast following in her famous dad’s footsteps.

In fact, the songbird has warmed her ways into the hearts of many music buffs; since she stormed the music podium with her debut studio effort, you left me.

According to a statement by the family,wave pulling Jessica, from Otukpo, Benue State, was born on July 15, 1983. “Being from a musical family, music has been a major part of her life for as long as she can remember.Instruments always intrigued her. She played the piano as a child and the sound of the bass guitar has always been her all time favourite.”

The statement further added that Jessica started singing with her father, Bongos Ikwue in 2006 (recording backing vocals on a few of his songs). Her favourite music genres are old school Motown, soul, R’n’b, jazz, alternative and gospel and her vocal style is influenced by soul, jazz and Rhythm and Blues (RnB).
